Tori's first day of preschool was on Monday, September 13. She was so excited to be a "big" girl and finally be able to go to school (like her friend, Stella).
Daddy took a couple hours in the morning off so we could all go to Tori's school together. Tori did pretty well when we dropped her off, but Mom and Dad may have teared up. When did our baby get so old?
Tori did well on her first day. It didn't go so well the 2nd or 3rd day. We knew she'd have an issue with so many children (25 I think) at once. Since she was a baby, Tori has preferred quiet environments with not too many people. We knew this would be an adjustment for her, so on the whole, we think she's doing well. We're excited to see how she learns to adapt and grow.
Tori has yet to tell us about her day. Instead, she likes to process what she has been doing by role-playing "school". She is "Teacher Karen", and whoever is around gets to be the students. As far as I can tell, she is role-playing her day fairly thoroughly.
One thing she is disappointed about: she was hoping she would get to ride a school bus to school. Sorry, Tori. You'll have to wait another few years for that privilege!
